How can people with six pack abs be bad runners?

Mr. Penguin asked:

At my P.E. class in school there are some people who are fortunate enough to have a six pack, and I know this for a fact because they show off in the locker room. But I noticed these are the same people who start walking during sprints, and can’t run a mile without walking. Why are they bad athletes if they have six pack abs???

Fat is just fat…having it doesnt mean your lungs or legs are weak

    Crunches don’t require running.

Weight training builds strength but it isn’t a cardio workout, which is what you need to improve in running/sprinting.
