The Truth About Getting Great Abs And A Flat Tummy!
November 28th, 2008Are you frustrated with lackluster results after hours and hours in the gym and on the treadmill?
Have you spent hard earned money on weeks and months of classes sweating your butt off with little or no progress?
If you are sick and tired of fat burning “miracle pills”, ab machines and other gimmicks that fail to deliver the lean stomach that you are looking for, you will want to check out an ebook I recently bought called “The Truth About Six Pack Abs”.
Sure, I was quite skeptical about the book before I bought it, but luckily, Mick Geary (author) is the real deal. Mike is a Certified Nutrition Specialist and a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) specializing in fat reduction strategies and enhancing functional strength and power weight training. From the very beginning its obvious that Mike is an expert and delivers his knowledge in an easily understood way. Which is great for both the beginner exerciser and experienced ‘gym rat’.
Honestly, I was overly impressed with how much practical, no-fluff, real content Mike crammed into it, and how he gets right to the point in a “no-nonsense” way. His advice is backed up with sound science for those that need to know the ‘how and why’ it works. Mike is a certified trainer with years of experience, and that definitely shows in the book.
Here is my opinion on “The Truth About Six Pack Abs” :
1. Simply and clearly laid-out
2. Very well written (lots of helpful photos)
3. Beginner and advanced ab training strategies
4. Talks about training and diet (very important)
5. Geared toward both men and women
6. Recommends just 5-7 minute ab workouts!
What surprised me the most about this book is how quickly and completely Mike debunked and dissected the many myths about how to target your midsection and sculpt out the perfect set of abs. I feel like I’ve wasted a lot time on traditional exercises that have only gotten minimal results. If only I’d have found this book years ago… He ended up challenging a lot of assumptions I’ve had for a long time. Thanks Mike.
For instance, he teaches you how cardio has VERY LITTLE to do with getting great abs. And I couldn’t believe what he said about crunches and situps. (I have seen and felt the truth!) There are some other shockers in there, but I’ll let you discover them for yourself!
If you are serious about slimming your abs in the shortest time possible and aren’t afraid to try some simple, no-gimmick methods that get results fast, I can’t think of a better book to recommend that “The Truth About Six Pack Abs”. I give it two thumbs up and 5 star rating.
